COURSE DESCRIPTION

This programme is designed to equip participants with fundamental Microsoft Excel skills for effective data management, reporting, and visual presentation of information. Participants will learn how to structure and organise data, apply essential formulas, and develop clear charts for workplace communication.


The 2-day format is structured to maximise learning transfer. After Day 1, participants will complete an individual assignment based on practical workplace tasks. During Day 2, participants will review their assignment, receive trainer feedback, and strengthen their understanding through advanced practice and discussion.

This approach supports stronger retention, immediate workplace application, and measurable skill improvement.

Module 4: Fundamentals of Data Visualisation

·       Types of charts and their uses

·       Creating bar, column, line, and pie charts

Assignment Briefing (End of Day 1)

Participants will receive an individual assignment to be completed before Day 2.

 

Individual Assignment (Between Day 1 & Day 2)

Participants will complete a structured task using a sample dataset or their own workplace data (where suitable).

Participants are required to:

·       Clean and organise a dataset

·       Apply formulas for calculations

·       Sort and filter information

·       Create at least one chart

·       Prepare a simple summary report

·       Softcopy before Day 2, or

·       Bring completed file during Day 2
